Sales Manager – Domestic Boilers Job Title: Area Business Manager – Domestic Boilers Industry Sector: Domestic boilers, Installers, plumbing & heating contractors, plumbing & heating merchants and distributors Area to be covered: London, Kent, Surrey and Berkshire Remuneration: Up to £40,000 (Neg.) up to 20% Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed Car Comprehensive Benefits The role of the Sales Manager – Domestic Boilers will involve: Field sales position selling a high end range of domestic boilers up to 35KW 70% of your time targeting independent plumbing & heating contractors / installers 30% of your time managing approx. 50 plumbing & heating merchants Managing relationships with approx 25 national plumbers merchants such as Graham Plumbers Merchant, Wolseley, Travis Perkins and most significantly Plumbase Managing approx 25 independent plumbers merchants 60% new business development, focusing on switch selling plumbers merchants from competitor boiler manufactures 40% account management You will be tasked with selling circa 3,000 boilers units per annum (approx £1,000 per unit) Inhering an underperforming area, currently running at circa 50% of budget, this is a genuine “hero job”, enabling you to make a real name for yourself within our client Approx six customer visits per day, couple of days a month administration from home Running the area like it is your own business, you will be responsible for control of budget, expenses, client entertainment etc Reporting on CRM system, loading your call planner one week in advance The ideal applicant will be a Sales Manager – Domestic Boilers with: · 12 months proven track record in field sales and territory management · Must have sold to contractors / installers and fulfilled through merchants and distribution · Ideally from the plumbing and heating industry · Our client is open to a plumbers merchant or builders merchant background (as well as a manufacturer) · Boiler knowledge is not essential · New business hunter · Autonomous in approach · Good solid work ethic and ‘get up and go’ · Trustworthy and self motivated · Resilient character, this is a tough opportunity The Company: · Est. 100Years · Circa £70m UK turnover · 120 UK employees · Privately held, part of a larger group Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire on 01625 527207 Mitchell Maguire is a specialist construction field sales recruitment consultancy, dealing exclusively with construction field sales jobs, construction field sales vacancies and specification field sales positions within: domestic boilers, pipes, fittings, water heaters, biomass boilers or heat pumps / renewable energy, continuous flow hot water, water systems, storage tank, water treatment, solar, solar thermal, gas water heaters, twin flow, heat pumps, heating radiators and associated plumbing and heating products This job was originally posted as
