Taylor Hawkes are working with a outstanding forward thinking firm who act as auditors for organisations of every type and size. Their clients are active in all branches of commerce and industry, ranging from substantial corporations to small businesses. They also act for many charities, trade unions, trade associations, professional societies and other organisations in the not for profit sector. Responsibilities: To carry out larger audit assignments. To produce statutory accounts using CCH/Caseware software. To oversee preparation, and review by CT dept, of CT returns and handle corporation tax compliance. To oversee preparation monthly/quarterly management accounts and review as required. To deal with all correspondence from clients, HMRC, Companies House etc, or delegate as appropriate. To advise on and facilitate all aspects of setting up new UK subsidiaries. To undertake or delegate and manage ad hoc work, such as VAT inspections, visits from group, auditors, one-off advisory services etc. To ensure that in ALL areas clients receive a timely and quality service. To ensure fee budgets prepared and adhered to. To prepare bills and assist with debt collection where problems arise. Ensure partners updated on major issues. To supervise/review work of junior staff where work has been delegated. To assist in ensuring adequate training provided to junior staff. To consider ways in which statutory and other audit can be improved in terms of efficiency and value to the audited company while maintaining compliance standards, and implement those ideas To act as technical champion for audit compliance. Experience: ACA/ACCA Qualified or Qualified by experience Substantial experience in UK accounting practice Working Knowledge of any of the following preferred; Caseware audit/accounts/tax, Sage 50, Xero
