Manual Machinist / Toolmaker
The main definition of the job role is to safely and efficiently carry out preparation and assembly of engineered components and repair/refurbish tools to a high quality standard. Striving at all times to exceed customer and internal management’s expectations of quality and effectiveness.
The key candidate would be a hard working positive individual with the abilities to work independently and as an effective member of a team. The successful candidate would need to be adaptable to constant changes in the work place due to an ever developing company. As a small business everyone’s opinion matters and we always welcome new ideas on how we can improve our company’s safety and efficiency.
To be an apprenticeship served toolmaker with experience across all (if not the majority) of different workshop machinery
The ability to work to engineering drawings
Multi-skilled machinist with the ability to work to tight tolerances
You will be expected to be able to effectively self-time manage which includes completing time sheets accurately on a daily basis and filling in process and time information on the backs of all working drawings.
To keep all work areas clean and tidy to ensure correct presentation and safety of employees.
To potentially undergo internal and external training as directed by management
To carry out other reasonable duties from time to time that may be required to enable the efficiency and safety of the business.
To work to ISO 9001 standard with full job traceability (full training will be provided of company policy).
